I wish the original feedback section at Amazon had separate ratings for the Seller versus the Manufacturer. This Seller did everything possible to try to help me fix the drivers problem. - Remarkable!I thought I'd take a chance and buy this camera even though some reviews weren't too good and some of the suggestions didn't work. I can not tell you how I eventually was able to get it to work after sometime of installing and re-installing it, but when I finally did get it to work in all my camera programs it went right to the top of the list. The software that is shipped with the product is total junk. Fortunately what is available on-line is better. Here's how to solve the black screen problem on an XP. - UHHHHI would recommend reading some other reviews other than the ones here. I say you pretty much get what you pay for. It's not spectacular and doesn't always do what you want it to. I've tried to record videos with this camera and haven't had much luck. Sound doesn't always record and lags when it does. I've read that a glitch in the dynex software might be the cause of this and that I need to purchase some other webcam software.

- Great for the moneyThis is a great webcam. We went to Best Buy, and after much discussion and speculation, we decided to get this camera. We had to decide between this, and much more expensive webcam that was on sale. I am glad we bought this. After we got past the black screen (thanks to the instructions from a previous reviewer), it went smooth as silk. It has great picture quality and microphone quality for its price. It doesn't come with a lot of extras, but who needs them? I am glad we got this one.
