The microphone does not reach your mouth. It cannot pick up any sound.
The only way is works is if you take the headset off of your head and hold the mic right next to your mouth...
Save your money and buy a different one.

- The microphone is horrible.I bought this today (not from amazon, sorry.) and the icrophone reaches to the corner of my mouth. You would think that would be enough, but as the title says; the microphone is horrible. Even from at hte corner of my mouth it cannot pick up any sound. I have all of my microhpone levels maxed, and people still just hear a faint hum of the microphone transmitting, but no voice. - *sigh*This is a very solid headset for the price it is offered at. The sound quality is very good, with excellent bass.The only problem was that after a week of use, the microphone inexplicably proceeded to stop working.

- Great sound, Horrible MicrophoneI recently purchased this product for Skype calling. The sound is great on the ear phones. However the microphone is horrible. I basically have to yell for someone to hear me. I have had several other basic(cheap) stand alone microphones which were vastly superior. Just pass on this product.
