Product Description:
Place this plug-and-play camera in your home, office, vacation home, or almost anywhere else you'd like to keep an eye on things, with no PC required at the location. The camera can be viewed and controlled from a standard Web browser, video display, or even a compatible cell phone or PDA, with no additional software required. All of the other required software is already inside the camera. With the built-in heat sensor, the camera can be set to record and/ or notify you by email when someone enters the room. It can even automatically move to a preset location when triggered, just in case someone was viewing a different part of the room. With the built-in Privacy mode, your privacy is protected by simply pressing a button. An indicator on the front of the camera turns red, and you know at a glance that the camera is now only accessible by you. The camera can also be set up to show a green light when the camera is being accessed. The camera can be set to automatically record video at certain times and certain speeds. In addition, with optional, external sensors attached to the camera, it's possible for the camera to email or record when triggered by motion, sound, light, timer, or even a push button. These convenient functions eliminate your need to constantly check the image.

- Best value for money ip-camBought the ip-cam to check out our nanny. I've searched for many other alternatives but at last I've got my first ip-cam as panasonic. I think they've done a great job. For this price - of best quality "webcams" - I've got a quite intelligent watch over from internet.
*it is not still - you can watch all over the room
*set up was very easy
*voice quality is perfect
*video quality could be better (VGA resolution is not perfect)
but definetely a good value for money.

- Works features work great but image poorWorks great on DSL/2Wire router. Unheated building 6°F no problem. Emails on motion trigger. Monitor with the Recording Software so sound stays on. Called Customer Support to install & I'll very techy. Great CSupport though. Negative: Image can NOT ID a face unless you know them- so it gets a 4 star.

- No cable includedBe aware that you need an LAN cable to connect this thing to your router.
And there's no LAN cable included -- which for a $150 item is pretty chintzy. I hate companies that pull that.
Unfortunately I can't rate the actual performance of the product, because it's 11 o'clock at night, and I'm setting it up now, and it didn't come with a cable.

- great camera as long as you don't activate privacy modeI just wanted to add one bit of information that folks may find useful with regard to this network camera (and the wireless version BL-C131A). I agree with the majority of other reviews here that for the price, this is a great network camera, and the Panasonic customer service is terrific! Once set up, the camera has stayed reliably up and running *as long as you do NOT activate the privacy mode*. This may be an issue with my particular router/ISP (I am on AT&T DSL with a 2Wire brand router), ... Read More
