Rf Universal Remote
With inventions like the television, people finally had means of entertaining themselves in the comfort of their homes. Television became a popular past time and this only grew with time. The popular demand of the people led to the invention of the remote controller; to allow a person to switch channels without having to get out of their seats.
Other invention like the VCR, DVD players, cable TV and so on had remote controllers as soon as they were invented. Each of these devices had their very own remotes for the comfort of the user. Eventually, as the devices grew in number, so did the number of remotes. Now a typical home entertainment system would consist of enough devices, to provide the user with as many as six remotes. This not only makes things inconvenient for the user, it makes us hate remotes for the mere reason that they exist.
That led to the creation of the universal remote. This great innovation made things easier for us even more. It allowed us to be lazy, to sit watching the television for countless hours. The universal remote made it so easy we did not need to move unless we needed food or needed to use the rest room. The rest of the time, the couch in front of the television, crunching on carb-filled snacks, was the most comfortable place; hence the term “couch potato”.
However, a new gadget is in stores. The (Radio Frequency) RF universal remote is a high end universal remote that use radio waves instead of infra red, giving us a wider range of control. Now, if you want to switch off the television in the living room and switch on the stereo in the kitchen, without having to move a muscle (Well, except for the one in your finger!), then the RF universal remote is ideal for you.
The RF universal remote give users ranges of approximately 20 feet. Although this may not cover an entire household, the RF universal remote is sufficient to control devices in two rooms that are next to each other. Infra red universal remotes offer relatively low ranges and sometimes may not even reach devices within a single room. RF universal remotes are more reliable as unlike infra red they do not have to be pointed at the device to give a signal. Another advantage the RF universal remotes offer is for users who need to maintain distance from their televisions due to eye problems; RF universal remotes will help them out without having to sacrifice the functionality of the universal remote.
