Ge Universal Remote Code

Who likes to have several remotes for different devices? Not having to go near the TV to change channels can be a good thing. But too many remotes around the house with one for the CD player, DVD player, shuffling through them could sometimes be a problem.

To solve this issue, the GE company introduced their GE universal remote control that had all the power in one remote. Even though programming of this requires a person to know the GE universal remote code that works with the remote, it is a popular device among many households today.

Programming the universal remote takes only a few steps to cover. Identifying the GE universal remote code is the most important issue. The GE universal remote is no different from other devices that need programming. You may not succeed in getting the GE universal remote code right the first time you try to input it. But that is why they say that ‘trial and error’ is the best way you could learn anything. After all who wouldn’t want to get rid of all the remotes that are scattered in the house and use just one remote that could do the needful?

Let’s look at the simple steps one must take in order to get the GE universal remote code programmed right from the first try. First you must switch on the device you wish to program. It can be your TV, DVD player or any other electric item. This of course has to be done manually. The remote will have a GE universal remote code search button. Keep pressing this until the LED indicator light flickers on. You have already completed step two. Simple isn’t it?

The third step would be to let go of the GE universal remote code button and focus on the button of the device you wish to program. Press and release this button. Completion of this requires you to enter a 3-digit code for the selected device. This has to be done using the numbers on the GE universal remote. The moment the GE universal remote code is entered, the LED light will turn off.

Now take the remote and press the power button while directing it straight at the device. The device should automatically turn off by this point. The device would respond once you press the ‘channel up’ button on the remote. If this happens, you are on the right track. Programming is completed. Now simply relax and enjoy!
