I bought 5.1 speakers system Altec Lansing VS-3151 about two years ago. Initially I used it for my PC 5.1 speakers. I do not have PC anymore and now I use it for my small “home theater system”. I encountered the problem where I can’t put the rear satellite speakers properly due to my living room condition. For front speakers and sub woofer I don’t have any problem. I tried to find whether I can find speaker stands for my rear speakers in Singapore. After googling, finally I found at least two option. I can buy from IKEA or online order from Creative website. But I think the latter ones are designed to be matched with Creative speakers. So, the former one the only candidate. In the IKEA website, it cost S$38 for a paired speaker stands. I think it not so expensive.

I need to go to IKEA to buy it. I saw it for the first time as part of living room display with small Phillips speaker on it. The price is same as seen on the website. I need to write down the location where I can collect and carry it to cashier. But so sad at that time. I couldn’t see any speaker stands box on there. Ough, out of stock. Luckily I approach an IKEA worker there and he told me where is the actual location.

I was so happy at that time that finally I could bring home the speaker stands. Guess how much I pay ? Only S$18 ! Its mean S$20 cheaper than the information I got beforehand. I think IKEA want to clear their stocks.

This speaker stands just nice to put my VS-3151 speaker on. I use velcro that come with the stands. It’s srong enough to hook-and-loop the buttom of the speaker with the mounting pad. We also can usu some screws to mount the speaker instead of using the velcro.

We can choose the height of the stand for either 44 cm or 88 cm.

As long as the speaker not so “big”, this speaker stands is recommended. It will match especially if you buy home theater in box with all speakers are small size or come without stand.
