Is your computer Windows Vista Ready ?
I have tried the online tool from CNET and System Requirements Lab. Unluckily my beloved DELL laptop is not compatible :(. He he but who care ? Currently Windows XP Professional OS (legal of course) is far far enough for me.
Base on the results, two components are lacking from my system. First is my system RAM, it is only 512 MB. The recommendation is at least 1 GB RAM. The second is free Disc Space, 15 GB is recommended. But my one only have remaining 9 GB. But at least I know, I just need to buy 512 RAM to meet the requirement. I can adjust my free hardisk, move the data into DVDs or CDs.
Below is the screenshoot on how Vista Upgrade Advisor inform me :

I wouldn’t want to run Vista with just 1GB. I found that it uses over 600MB with no apps running.
The disk space requirement seems reasonable. Ultimate took up about 10GB, but some of that could be removed.
